ACW Technology is continuing to grow with the addition of another
site and a new customer. An agreement has been completed for Tandberg
Television to outsource its manufactured products from ACW Technology.
Under the terms of the agreement ACW Technology will take over the
entire 68,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Hedge End, Southampton
from Tandberg Television, including the related personnel and fixed
assets.
Through this
acquisition ACW Technology will provide a partnership solution
to another prime customer in an expanding market, and add to the
strength and scope of its current Electronics Manufacturing Services
to the benefit of all its customers. Tandberg Television has demanding
requirements and standards for the manufacture and test and reliability
of its state of the art products. Tandberg Television's aim in
outsourcing from ACW Technology is to streamline around its core
activities, which are the development, sale, integration and support
of systems for digital television broadcasting.
